Cohabitation/Spousal Support
Investigators can assist attorneys by providing the evidence needed to present facts to the court to establish, reduce or remove spousal support. Sometimes a spouse or ex-spouse may have a change in financial circumstances or living arrangements that will be a basis for establishing or modifying spousal support. A spouse may have a new job, may have a substantial increase or decrease in income, may be the owner of a business or receiving unreported cash. An ex-spouse may also be cohabitating with someone analogous to marriage or who supplements the household income or may even be supported by the ex-spouse. Very extensive surveillance and investigation is required in these matters.
